CARS chose Hickory, NC for several reasons with one of the primary being the location for racers. Hickory is an easy drive from all over the Southeast, accessible from major interstates I-40, I-85, I-77 and Hwy 321. The Hickory Metro Convention Center is located adjacent to I-40 and is surrounded by a whole host of lodging and restaurants to choose from.
For Directions to the show, you can plug in the Hickory Metro Convention Center address to your GPS. The address is: 1960 13th Ave Dr SE Hickory, NC 28602. Or, for those that prefer physical directions:
Driving on I-40 going East: Take exit 125 in Hickory, take a right off the exit and immediately get in the left hand turning lane and turn left at the stoplight. Outback Steakhouse is on the corner. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the Hickory Metro Convention Center on the right hand side.
Driving West bound on I-40: Take exit 125 in Hickory, turn left off the exit, get in the left hand lane and turn left at the second stoplight. Outback Steakhouse is on the corner. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the Hickory Metro Convention Center on the right hand side.
Parking is FREE on a first-come first-serve basis. There will be parking attendants on hand to guide you to the nearest parking areas.
